I'm very angry I can not get another Goliath, I will no longer play/pay VO now with out the mission being replaced. One less player I guess though.

Yup, no secret it was a temporary thing in this form. When the Goliath is back are you coming back?

I don't think there's been any official word on what the final implementation of obtaining a Goliath will look like, but it's been clear from the beginning that the current implementation is only a transitional "preview" phase:

True Phaserlight, Personally I would not mind if the Goliath could also be purchased at a steep price for the players who are not into all the work required to manufacture one.

(If the Devs are waiting until all the leased Goliaths die then they need to tell us so the process can be sped up a bit...)

Giving up VO all because of a single ship is rather petty.

Not only was the Goliath only in testing (and that made clear), but access required a Long Term Subscription pledge.

Anyone who makes a pledge like that, and then quits the game as soon as a single privilege (helping to test a new ship in development) comes to its natural conclusion.. is perhaps not best suited to our game.
