Faction loss for NPC's
A few days ago I decided to drop my serco standing and killed an NPC in serco monitored space. The bot unfortunately got over the nfz line just as the last hit came
The temp faction loss dropped me to -601 as expected for 15 minutes.
Afterwards my faction dropped down to -735 which was a loss of over 800 points.
Is this the intended amount of faction loss?
Over 800 points for a single bot even in an nfz seems a bit steep. The faction system is meant to govern player interactions more then player / NPC activity.
Also it appears the old faction recovery mission has been removed.
Are there any viable methods for regaining standing for the major factions besides sneaking in and botting?
Currently there does not appear to be any convoy missions going from grey space to either serco or Itani space.
Due to the beefing up of the interior defenses getting to a static hive in serco space has proven to be very difficult leaving only the Dynamic hive which always has serco present that frequently ignore the hive and attack the player instead. (I am not currently sure if I can kill the serco with losing additional standing.)
Perhaps the addition of a few static sectors to intros and pyronis might help keep the task a bit more bearable.

-900 is about right in nation owned monitored space, I mean AI or not it is still a member of the nation. I mean there are other implications now too, like the fact that you can pretty much get away with all none-nation kills, bot or not, in nation spaces kind of balances this out.
In sub faction this is less of an issue too, as the faction loss is much less severe. Im not saying the faction system is without issues, but faction loss for killing faction personnel in guarded space isn't one of them.

Regarding the dynamic hives, after a mission I kill the npcs that remain for a short time with no issue. The vulture npcs sometimes drop neutIIIs, even.
You can only see the faction recovery missions when you need them, you do not see them unless you are hated somewhere.
-700 is hated and no mission even at corvus capitol....
are you in a group?
Have you taken them before? There may be a limit to how many times you can use them.
Anyway, I don't see why additional static sectors would need to be added. Pyronis is already static and has plenty of collector-only sectors.

@Rin
Capitol systems are now completely monitored, that includes empty sectors and bot sectors.
Also, I think you can use faction recovery corvus mission just once. It definitely does not show up if you used it before.

Park and Lmine a spawn point at a sepios critical skirmish. Use the capship to slow the bots and lay mines around the ship to protect it from the serco. Standing restored in less than a hour.
