I'm going to have so much fun with this. Thanks to Harpo and Arf for pushing for it. *evil grin*
I do hope that the devs pay attention when specific players openly hint at knowing how to exploit new changes made to the game...

The bigger the safety net the more holes it will have

To Whom It May Concern:
You keep using the term "exploit." There is no "exploit" when this is intended behavior of a game mechanic. By using the term "exploit", i assume you mean cheat. Frankly, I am getting tired of you calling me a cheater. Tone it down ARF.
Rather than getting up in arms about every change good or bad to my style of play, I instead choose to modify my style of play. This means i use the game mechanics to my advantage. That is not an "exploit", but instead is smart game play.
Respectfully yours,
Knauf

There are two types of exploitation: 1) utilizing a bug in the game (that was an error on the part of the devs) to access unintended benefits or 2) utilitzing a gameplay mechanic that had unforseen consequences on the part of the devs which provides unintended benefits.
On the user side, either of the above options are seen as equals. On the dev side (from what I've seen), generally only #1 is an "exploit".
Knauf's method of playing the game starkly reminds me of Ecka's, in that they both take the position of "I'll play the game the devs have given it to us. If you don't like it, shove off." In both cases, the determination of whether or not an "exploit" is occurring (per my definition #2 above) is largely dependent on how you feel about that particularly character in game. So, if you are friendly towards Ecka, you would support their creative ways of playing the game. If you are friendly towards Knauf, you support theirs. I think this is a completely understandable state of affairs, particularly given the way gameplay imbalances (i.e. #2 above) have been handled by the devs.

Yes, thank you Ecka and TGFT for raising the bar of game mechanics exploitation. The 'verse is forever in your gratitude.
