Android and pc question(s)
I'm an old player that's been inactive a while and may be taking a job that has me on the road a lot... so decided to check out vendetta online on android because the phone's a lot easier to carry than a laptop and mifi lol
Is it to where all platforms are playing in the same universe? Like android and PC playing together in the same game world together
And since I already have a lot of skill levels and stuff from playing previously (unless things get deleted after some period of inactivity? Really hope my stuff's still there) - would it be possible to access all my existing stuff from android or does android require a brand new account?

Android and PC pilots fly on the same server, and have the same accounts.
wb man -- I remember you, despite possibly having removed you from my buddy list given your long absence. See you on the high seas of space.
So another question... what exactly are the restrictions for lite?
Seems kinda messed up a 'new' account created on android can play free supposedly with no restrictions, but an ol dog like myself that's had a computer sub before can't even see how the game runs on phone without payin

I think after having a lite account, you cannot become f2p again (from what I've gathered in-game) (that sounds REALLY bjorked...).
In this case it's having been a $10/mo subscriber, way back before the game was added to platforms like android. I actually remember the time it was starting to be talked about and developed lol
If you send a support ticket the devs can change your account type to F2P, it's actually not because you subbed at some point, it is about how you created the account. If you create the account on the website, it is classed as a PC trial account; and requires remaining trial time or a sub to play on any device. If you create the account using a mobile device it is classed as a F2P account, and you can only play on mobile without a sub. You can go from F2P to subbed and back to F2P by just letting the sub expire.
The limits on Lite are basically the same as F2P, except you can also play on any device.

what's the restrictions? is it a license level cap or?
But so long as that switch to f2p wouldn't mess up my higher licensed characters.. that'd let me try the online part of the game on my phone. just might not be able to log in to my 11/13/12/13/12 main. Do have 3 other characters tho:
3/5/4/1/0
6/6/5/4/0
1/1/0/2/1

I beleive anything over 4 is restricted down to 4 while you are f2p, and that should you sub again they go back to their current values.
Exactly as Luxen says. Any XP you would theoretically made whilst f2p doesn't count.
I know they're rather light on personnel so I'll pose a question here before sending a ticket:
Which of these three categories (billing, game, or technical) would be most appropriate for a request to make my account f2p so I can see how the actual game runs on my phone? Obviously it doesn't fall under abuse lol

I'd probably go with billing, as it is kind of a payment kind of issue, but I really do not think it matters that much. All tickets go to the same place right now.
seems the best course of action is just wait till I actually need to, and can afford to, play VO on my phone.
LG L62VL
Just don't know either way whether it'll be able to handle warping/jumping or a lot of bots/players in a sector. Would suck to find out my phone can't do all that after I'm already out on the road in a big truck, especially considering my other mobile playable game prospect just became a major disappointment
& I would be doin VO over a 3g or 4g cellular connection (depending on where I'm at when I've got downtime)
If someone could nudge pakettle in this direction I know he's got the same exact phone presumably with a paid subscription that'd allow him to try vo on the same hardware. Having trouble finding the thread where I could bump him in this direction myself >.<

I don't have your phone, but did have one that is very similar that also had the Qualcomm MSM8916 and I can tell you that performance wise, your phone should handle VO very well. You might get some lag in massive cap ship battles but these are rare. As long as you can get used to the touch interface I cannot forsee any problems with your device. It is not one of the fastest devices on the planet, but even my old Galaxy S3 mini runs VO quite well.
On 4G, if you are actually getting 4G speeds VO is perfectly playable, even if there will be longer load times and a bit of lag compared to a WiFi connection. VO really doesn't use that much in the way of data, but in low signal areas/on congested networks or 3G you probably will get the odd lag spike that will kill you. I guess to find out if you can play or not is more down to the touch interface though. If you can get used to it, and maybe even personalise it with something like DroidButtons, heck you could even do a bit of PvP. Unless you try you will not know, but might I suggest a controller? Something like a Moga Power Pro, or even a Moga Hero Power? You can find the latter quite cheap on Ebay now because PowerA have stopped making them.

Hey xXxDSMer,
In case you didn't know I can always be reached at ymail.
I went and downloaded VO today and the install went perfect. No issues at all to report.
I will tell you the screen is too small to really see all that much for me and i likely wont be playing VO on my phone. If your looking for a long term road worthy solution I would suggest a laptop or tablet with wifi. If you can scrape up the price I suspect the Occulus Rift would give a more then satisfactory experience as well. You may also want to try out the google cardboard headsets since they are a lot cheaper to obtain.
Have fun

@yoda Yep I been eyeing moga as a less expensive way to do some gaming while off-duty (less expensive than spending $600 to $1000 for an XBL friendly router that connects via cellular or wifi as wan, but that would also enable me to use my laptop on the road as well so probably happening, just later than sooner lol). & awesome to hear that the Qualcomm MSM8916 does alright with vo
& there's some pretty good prices on both of those moga controllers on ebay. Also saw a iPega PG-9021 with extra buttons.. but idk if that controller would be supported on as many games as moga or if the buttons are configurable lol

@PaKettle sweet. confirmation for exact device :)
and yeah.. kind of a larger phone, but still a rather small screen for most games that are any kind of "3d"... it's what I got for now though lol.
Only issue for "road worthy" solution is a lot of the time I might only have cellular available. Hopefully after several paychecks I'll be able to get some kind of router with embedded cellular modem and a hookup for external roof mounted antenna, but the router's gotta be able to do whatever it can for having an open nat for XBL too. Currently considering Pepwave MAX BR1 Mini - seems to have the functionality of units costing 700+, just less ethernet ports.
