perhaps, but that looks more like you chopped the handle off of a (4-barrel) laser gun. the Golly Grey Giant is a bit more boxy, isnt it?

Nah, they're both just ISO Standard Human Spaceships: Grey and Boxy. Of course they look similar.

Just for the record, I don't think anyone ripped off anyone (if that were even possible anyway)

I'm just enjoying the fantasy of more user-designed ships
