I have a Revenant equipped with plasma cannon in a left small port, scanner in the right small port and mining beam in the large center port. With this configuration even though auto aim and auto fire is on they don't seem to work. Is there any way to have the auto stuff work in this config or would I be better off with some other ship? My goal was to use this as a mining ship that can also defend itself if push comes to shove. Thanks

Auto-Fire only works on primary weapon group with Auto-Aim on.
You can configure different weapon groups in ship config, to the right of add-ons tap on groups. Then tap on your desired weapon and you will see the changes you make. Note multiple weapons can be selected.

Also of note, auto-fire doesnt work if an unusual addon is part of the primary fire; scanners, charge cannons, and ammo addons come to mind as examples of auto-fire killing weapons.

If you need to spam fire, you may want to type /+shoot2; this forces all primary weapons to keep firing, without need of holding down the fire button. To cancel it, just tap the fire button.
