For all you Xbox One controller users, there you have it. I had a very hard time figuring out which mods to make, but I don't want anyone else to have that trouble. I think this will be very helpful to some people, so if some staff or admin could move this to a permanent thread, that would be great. Thank you.

Can you please send us your config.ini file located in Android/data/com.guildsoftware.vendetta/files/errors.log so we can see why your controller didn't get set up with the correct default settings?
Either send them via email to support@ or through a support ticket.
Thanks.

Those are weird choices for Fire buttons if is that is default. Id suggest switching your fire buttons to the Triggers and using LB/RB to accelerate/decelrate. Switch the left joystick to strafing Up/down/left/ right. That should make it way easier to fly your ship in combat. I dont know where I'd put roll, but rolling isnt really important. Strafing correctly is how you dodge shots so having that on the LEFT joystick should be a must.

This is from a guy who has never used a controller for this game, but Ive spent a lot of time playing XBOX games and this game and I believe that would be the most comfortable set up for me.

Rolling isn't important? Ha! It's how my "WTD seems so agile", according to others. I roll a certain way and the energy fly's right by me. Flares are a different story.j

(Sorry, this may be off topic. Feel free to remove if necessary Whistler.)

You can emulate your strafe roll by just strafing. All that extra rolling does is make your own blasters more inaccurate and make you dizzy.(and the way you do it makes you flare bait.)

Rolling isnt very important.... but

If I recall correctly when I did play with a dpad
I set up steering and strafing on the directional controls
Fire buttons I put on the upper shoulder buttons
forward/reverse on the lower shoulders

this left the four main buttons for stuff like target selection and so on.

You can also use the alias functions to create a few different setups that can be changed to reflect your current activity ie mining or combat.

If you really miss the roll a cheap set of programmable usb pedals work really well especially for turbo and brake - these will work
