I was farking around in Dau today and found one of those pirates who's all like "payy yer fais", and saw him parked outside the capitol station i think. He killed me a lot when i was a noob so I went ahead and blew him up. I knew the faction penalty and didn't really think it through at the time, being full of vengeance and all.

How do i go about getting my faction rep with UIT to docking status so i can trade in the UIT systems again?

Corvus can help you with that, I think. Check their mission board.

If you don't want to wave bye-bye to your 20m, you could go and kill 500+ bots in a UIT controlled system. It's tedious and slow but free.

You can also run convoys into the station and just skip the final jump unless its been changed

Go to Arta or Azek and kill collectors till you get to "dislike" standing. You can repair at the non-UIT stations even though they are in UIT territory.

Once you get to dislike do bulk trade procurement missions to get to liked.

Joyless, my reply was meaning if you were Itani in Itani space or Serco in Serco space. Of course Itani or Serco can repair in non-UIT stations in UIT space, but I don't think that was the problem here. UIT have the unique benefit of having allied stations within their faction space.

You forgot about EMS. EMS can repair anyone, anywhere! If they're not around, you can ask a friend to mount a repair module and fix you. Therefore if you are an Itani in Itani space or vice versa, you CAN get repaired. The fact that you can't dock is irrelevant in light of this fact.

Yes, Joyless that's true but it does depend on outside help - I could also have said you can repair in a friend's trident. You didn't mention that. :-)
