Noob here. I have attempted the search and rescue for the behemoth 3 times with no success. I am not looking for the answer, but I am trying to find out if I am mission something. One question is will the ship appear as a friendly on my radar screen or do I need to visually locate the ship? Do i need to equip the my ship with a special radar to to locate the ship. Any help will be appreciated.

You don't need a visual; the lost ship will contact you if you are near. It will appear as friendly on radar. No special equipment is required.

Make sure you are searching not just the sectors with asteroid fields listed, but also the sectors that have planets listed.
