What not to do [planning for video]
I plan on doing a youtube video of what NOT to do when you play Vendetta Online, likely next monday or the next. I ask that you suggest things that should be addressed in the video in this thread. I will reenact these from the point of a noob, and i will apologise in advance for what this charecter will say; it is only because i want to properly capture what many noobs do when they play VO for the first time. Dont worry, it wont be too horrible, and i dont mean it anyways. I welcome you to come online those days and make my attempts to escape greyspace and such to be truly hell. Free PKs for ya guys :3
Things i am going to address currently:
- firing on station guard
- going into and out of greyspace
- crying about pirates over 100
Feel free to post suggestions and comments!

I disagree on the last item. I always find it makes things more lively and interesting when a noob I just killed whined on 100 about me.
Go for the classics, I say. Announce your location on 100!
-Take the rogue queen mission at level 1 before you understand backrolling
-Trying to visit serco nation as itani or vice versa
-Visit a conquerable station without a key
-Try to find the M7 entrance without the waypoint marker
-Try to fight an aputech guardian without watching your rear
-Try to PVP with Stingrays

-Shooting the turret side of a convoy moth
-Trying to kill a queen without proper equipment
-Deciding to build a trident in your first 4 hours of gameplay on a free account
-Not subscribing to Vendetta OnAir
-Accepting Capt N Blood's invitation to learn the sights of Grey Space
-Revisiting the Training Sector
-Turning on Voice Chat
-Creating your own guild
-Repeatedly asking for a Million Credit Loan on 100
-/displayshippos
-Joining channel 100
-Claiming to be a modder
-PvP on a touchscreen

So much this! The last 3 guilds I have created actually came about due to the fact that people do not realise a guild full of free accounts will fold shortly after creation.

Does /displayshippos still work? It just says "these are not the hippos you're looking for" I thought. I wish the old one was still there.
You need the Libramatic Stimulatory Distractonator, I think.
- Think that you know what other players should or should not do.
- Make a video mocking others for playing a game in a manner you disprove of.
I would very much like to participate in the free PK's offered. Please post date and time!

These are all great things, and a few I haven't even run across yet.
JoylessJoker, you have a nice point that whiny noobs can be lively, but do you honestly expect THOSE noobs to watch this video before hand? I sure don't.
Savet, I need you to explain the m7 entrance thing; apparently I'm lost on that. Also, I kinda-sorta disagree on stingrays being useless in pvp; I sure wouldn't use JUST stingrays or anything, but as a noob weapon they have their merits.
LaZyPC I find your list great, but requires a few changes. First, I pvp on a touchscreen, and I'm not absolutely horrid - lag aside if I've been on a few hours. I find VO more difficult to play on PC, for whatever reason. Also, I'm appending "asking for guild invites over and over" to "creating a guild". Maybe not exactly a bad thing, but an annoying one, given many new players don't even know what role they wish to use when playing VO at the time they ask.
Hule, I sure hope those weren't directed at me; this video I hope is informative, and I will attempt to not mock anyone's play style outside of emulating normal noobish behavior (which I will explicitly mention as falsities in the video itself). As for your first suggestion, are you saying that me asking what you guys think is "telling you how to play vo?" The items I will cover will be advisements, as anyone is really free to do whatever they wish in vo (within admin's guidelines).

M7:
Warp into sector. Turbo ahead and find the hidden station. Now try to find the entrance without having the waypoint that gets created as a result of building a reactor.
Stingrays:
They're generally useless for PVP as they are almost guaranteed to miss a moving target with any skill. That being said, I have died to stingrays while drunk.

Using LSD causes a lot of related fun, but does not actually restore /DisplayShipPos to its proper functionality. To restore /DisplayShipPos, you instead need the DisplayShipPos plugin.
Tumblmonster ate my hippos!
I miss all three of those functions.... Especially the second iteration that involved hippo gifs
Homing at a Corvus station can happen whether you want it or not, if you're not careful. (Been there, done that, didn't like it) A demonstration of how it happens might actually be instructive.
-Not reading the tutorial(s).
I see many people who just click trough the tutorial and never read it at all, being totally helpless afterwards.

-do not heat roids so that they won't cool back down for a year
