Go on Shark Tank
Not really...
Mr. Wonderful would ask for a royalty per sub. They'd probably have to pull Incarnate off him.
What little I've seen of Shark Tank has been completely kooky compared to the actual reality of investment (especially early-stage). "Sharks" offering paltry sums of capital for bloated amounts of equity, with pretty silly terms. Numbers that would actually dissuade real-world VC investors from coming in later on a series-A round, because the equity is all gone, or the valuation has to change so much.
Granted, I've only seen bits and pieces of the show, here and there.
Anyway, thanks, we may do some investment stuff at some point. But, no, not on "shark tank".

Ah well. I figured that episode of Shark Tank would be pretty great. I just wanted to see VO get some capital :/
I still think you should go on Shark Tank. Why?
1) Even if you don't get a deal, you get massive publicity. There was this other guy that didn't get any deal, but his company became popular and very successful because lots of people who watched Shark Tank wanted to try his product out, and they ended up liking it.
2) They always ask what kind of experience you have in the industry you are in. You guys have been here for a loooooooooooooooooooooong time, and are obviously very experienced, since otherwise you wouldn't still be here.
The potential benefits of Shark Tank imo far outweigh the cons, since the worst thing that can happen to you is you get no deal, but why that wasn't so bad was said above. Yes, they ask for large stakes in the business, but that's usually when they see something good coming out of it and (idk how they spend that money buy afaik they put it back into the business).

You should go onto shark tank with the goal of NOT getting a deal!!!!seriously the publicity would be nuts just go in there show off VO then reject every offer!! And enjoy watching billionairs fight over you as you walk out!......mission acomplished!!!!......would achive instant pimp status

Still a risk though -- it's only a good publicity stunt if they don't paint you as a complete idiot.

Agreed BUT i dont think they could paint anyone with such mad coding skills as being dumb plus VO is a good idea also the buisness model is pretty straight forward.......but that aside the number of tv veiwers..........how hell let me quit.....i cant lie anymore i just want to see the full blown all out drag down smack down between mr wonderful and incarnate!......and yes free publicity is a second benifit.....y'all cant lie you ALL know damn well you would pay good money to see that fight.....my moneys on incarnate especially after Mr. Wonderful asked for a royalty per sub.....its when incarnate starts to foam at the mouth its going to go down
If you don't think reality TV producers not only have the ability, but also the DIRECTIVE to paint people in whatever manner suits the success of their show, then you are fooling yourself. People watch Shark Tank as much, if not more, for the uncomfortable awkward social situations than they do for the amazing success stories.
First of all, programming skills have absolutely nothing to do with social skills. Secondly, even if you have excellent social skills and are highly intelligent, it is still very possible for people to edit footage to make you look like a moron. And the more footage you give them, the easier it gets for them to cut things up that way. You could be answering their questions flawlessly, but what good does that do you if they cut out half your answer, making it look like you're dodging or oblivious to a problem? They can also do things like playing audio effects to imply that what you just said or did was shocking, dumb, or silly. Many people allow such cues to shape their perceptions without even realizing it, especially if the topic involves things they're not knowledgeable enough about to judge for themselves. Another trick that can be done is using teasers to manipulate people's opinions before the full content has even aired, so that confirmation bias taints their perceptions.
In a nutshell the press are normally a bunch of sharks. Toss in a good factual story, and I guarantee they would mess it up in ways that only a bunch of ninny collage journalists could.
Wait! That would include CNN, Fox News and a few others. Never mind.
