Hive at wormholes

I don't know if you guys did that on purpose or if it was a bug, but the mining queens at grey space wormholes with the flock of bots is a great feature.

I agree. NPCs should be more random in greyspace. I am looking forward to whatever dynamic events Inc says he is working on.

I say let the hive take stations and sectors so we have to kill em hive skirmishes are overrated :D

It's all been created intentionally, I've been adding stuff every day or two since Weds. I'm experimenting with some of our persistent bot commands, to see what works and what has problems. It's been fun, and illuminating.

There have been a few issues that have cropped up, but once I get an idea of what aspects of AI seem to be solid (and/or tweaking what's there), we'll look at doing things a little more persistently.

Took out a Hive Queen at Sedina L2 yesterday. That was fun!

But there was some idiotic unaligned Trident in the NFZ of Sedina L2, shooting Cap-Gauss and Swarms at you if you flew by. Maybe you should get rid of that.

The hive in Latos O-12 yesterday was way too powerful. From the time that I jumped in with the trident, until the time they blew it up was about 20 seconds.

Uncertainty and variety are good things, in grayspace. Plus, it's something where we can make good use of the in-game News system to post warning notices (perhaps after someone runs afoul of a given hazard).

Yeah this is brilliant, it's nice that you can no longer afk in a wormhole sector for hours and not die. This kind of thing reminds me of unrats, but on a much larger scale.

Also, there is an issue with the bots ability to chase you over multiple sectors, they seem to have infinite range to see where you jumped to.

They also seem to manifest as swarms of 10-20 PCB equipped Arena seekers, unaligned...then while the seekers are blinding/draining you, the guardians shred you. Might be a bit much for a monitored botting sector in a nation capital system :P
