Things to do in Vendetta
Hello!
I played Vendetta Online way back and quite liked it. Other then getting credits for the next best ship there was not all that much to do though.
I came back when they supported Android Tablets but that was not my thing.
The next try was when i saw it works with the Oulus DK2 but that didn't really work because the UI was misaligned. Now they released a nice VR update but i sold my DK2. Doh!
Can you tell me what activities there are in VO witht he current build?
Is there some sort of storyline missions or is it just the typical go kill/mine/deliver missions that get created randomly?
Is there meaningful exploration?
I read there is racing somewhere.
Is there HTC Vive support planned. If the rift is working by now that would make sense, since the hard work is done allready.

The war and stuff. And there are racing tubes in Sedina.

That would take a while; the simplest answer is that it's fractal: finding one activity to pursue in-game often leads to half a dozen other possibilities opening up, some of which are more interesting than the one you began with. It depends on other players, and where you are in the game.

There are both (here is a page dedicated to missions from the VO wiki).
Is there meaningful exploration?
In my opinion, not really (unless you consider prospecting extensive asteroid fields a form of exploration). The view of the galaxy tends to be 'omniscient', but ever changing (commodity prices, available missions, faction standing, etc.). The biggest unknown is where your enemies are. This is the question that lurks in shadow.
I actually prefer this type of game to, say, an endlessly procedural one where what you are really exploring is an algorithm rather than (more intensely) effects created by other players. True creativity takes bounding: working within limitations.
Here is a guide I wrote a few years back. It's dated, but you may find it helpful. I also recommend checking out the VO wiki for additional information.
Welcome back!
