Hello, all. I don't know if any of you remember me, but I used to play VO 1.5 years ago as Snk, I was in the Coalition of Itan. Anyways, I've been lurking around the forums lately cause I was feeling a little nostalgic. I'm posting this now because I didn't get around to it when I was around, and I wanted to get some info about the current state of the game.

So I will ask, what's your favorite VO memorey?

Apart from repeatatly annihilating the Serco with my Itan buddies, mines got to be when I hired a gang of pirates to defend B8 against a horde of rampaging Serco. I was the only Itan on, and there were 6 or 7 Serco running around Latos, along with a lot of pirates. Seeing as I had no choice, I paid off the pirates and organized them into a decent fighting force and we destroyed RED and whatever Serco guilds were around back then. Good times.

Making TGFT the most hated guild in the game by dragging them along the ground after they shot themselves in the foot.

Oh also the three wars I started with them. :)

It's a very interesting time to start playing again. You might be shocked to find out that certain Itani nationalists declared war on TGFT. This is a historical moment since traditionally TGFT turn to Itani nationalists for protection when they get picked on.

I became a bear rar.

I have a number of moments that I like to recall...

Dragoth ( a serco trader ) was farming laws in D14, and I repaired him with a repair module, and he thought I was attacking him, and he called for help. One of the people that came to his assistance was a member of [PA], and he cancelled the standing Non Aggression Pact between myself and [PA], and attacked me. That should have taught me better than to repair traders... I lost count of how many [PA] I have killed since then, and I got so tired of having to explain the whole thing to them over and over and over... Break a non aggression pact with me, expect some aggression in return.

Another time... I was in an atlas x, when I ran across two [ITAN] in latos, one in an XC so overloaded that he was bouncing off roids trying to get to the worm whole, and the other escorting. I popped the XC, and several more as he brought in new moths to try to rescue his load, while I danced around the escort, and [ITAN] reinforcements, and carried off a large part of the load, including laws, cores, etc... Fortunately, I did not accidentally scoop up any of the samo that was turning XCs into lead balloons, or the [ITAN] fighters would surely have killed me.

Long ago, all nation wars only included teams for the three main nations, Itani, Serco, and UIT. I insisted that they add a grey team, and when they refused, I raided the nation war, killing about a dozen or so players. by repeatedly insisting that a grey team be included, and repeated raiding the nation war, a grey team was finally admitted to nation wars.

One time a guy started a thread on the forums to have me banned. "Petition to ban Roda Slane". heh.

Members of [PA] got so mad at me, that they made a website, "Rhonda Rant", that would make up remixes of stuff I said ingame. You know you got under their skin, when they start making websites after you.

man... I could go on all day...

My favorite memory (Kopia btw) is the several hours long fur ball between ONE/RED and ITAN on New Year's day a couple of years ago, spanning from Edras to Ukari. It was fun

I've always liked getting ganked by multiple serco alone in my IBG and pulling off a couple of kills before meeting an inevitable end, that and winning nation wars by a hair at the end when there's only one person from each nation left.

Heh, Spidey, you haven't changed a bit. I remember you and me in our IBGs/RevCs, flanking Serco Proms.

I remember a particular buswar that lasted for over three hours after NW, quite a few people were 100+ PKs up that day. 20-something participants, IIRC. Great fun.

Off topic: I'm gonna have a buswar after the Team War this Sunday

My favorite moment was this one time when I was just sort of wandering around and ended up having a series of fights and chases in the same ship which ended with the deaths of a couple players, some CTC transports, and a couple NPC moths hauling valuable cargo. It wasn't that any particular fight in the sequence was impressive, but the way it all strung together naturally without missions or coordination made it really neat.

My second most favorite moment happened within an ion storm that I encountered shortly after watching Last Exile. As I traveled toward the jump point, a TPG Constellation slowly emerged from the fog and asteroids and opened fire on me. It was beautiful.

I dunno man. Id like to resub, I have a job now and can pay for it.

How's the game been?

Rin, I happen to love those moments as a pirate, when by chance a string of piratey things happen. One of mine was when an infamous douchebags of a player was running around handing out money,600 all together I belive,and I kept tabs on who received his handouts. I proceeded to find and pirate them, raking in 14mil on warranties alone. Good times.

you're really funny, Galanoth. First it's 17, then it's 18, and now it's down to 14 million, something tells me it's actually more on the order of 1 million. I'm interested to see how long you will remain butthurt about not getting free money. I'm guessing you are the type of person that never lets things go and would rather fester in consuming self-hate, much like Dirty 'oRe. Continue to enjoy your karma, bro.

Yes you are right, in game I said 18mil, as that was my total creds, we all make mistakes. This time I took into account the fact that I had 4 million before pirating your recipients. Math rocks!

My favorite moments in-game occur when I have to do some math to figure things out!
