I'd say keep them as a sort of international olympics game. My vote: Keep, but not in current sector form. Make it accessable from within a station or somethin.

Count me in, i love the races, tehy ar e a fun thing to do, and i beleive if the times didn't reset as well, i hold hte record on one of my guys for one of the harder tracks, i think it is bluedude... i forget tho...
