Problem Downloading Client
I have been trying to download the client for the game to a Win 7 PC for about 12 hours. Initiated downloads with µTorrent, BitTorrent and direct web downloads. Avast blocks download saying it contains Win32:malware-gen and torrent downloads are converted to a .tmp file after download is complete, I'm assuming by Avast Antivirus.
I have done all of the downloads on two separate Win 7 PCs. I originally started on Android, bought 3 months premium then tried to download the game to my PCs.
Thanks for any help! Anyone have similar issues??

False positive. Just turn off Avast while you download and install VO. I would suggest getting rid of Avast altogether and use Microsoft Essentials instead. It's a lot less headache and bloat.
Yeah bugger off the silly AV or set an exception for vendetta-online.com
Hey, baofenguv5r. Nice to see someone else with their ticket around here. Welcome to the game, Old Man.
I've reported the false positive to Avast, for whatever that's worth (I don't hold out a lot of hope, but perhaps they'll whitelist us).
I also have a UV-5R. Great little radio. Perhaps not quite as good of a transceiver as my old Yaesu FT-530, but it also cost about 1/25th the price.

Heh. I should have guessed based on your nautical history, Inc. Yeah, I have a UV-5R too. It's quite amazing for the price. First HT I bought since my Icom from the same era as your Yaesu. I mostly do HF stuff though. I'm envisioning a VO net on 40m or something.
incarnate + strat
Thanks for the help!! Worked fine after turning off Avast.
Been licensed for 20 years now. I'm attached to my really old HTX-202 HTs. Have two of them and they throw 7w @13.8v. Great for events and ARES backup.

Glad to meet some OM on the game here!!!
