s9 Station from far away (pre 3.3.5)
Well I took some pictures of station 9 from 60km away (which is the max distance for rendering)

16-bit textures or 32-bit textures? In 16-bit it always chops away at long distances, even when zooming in. That's how it is for all games.
It's actually the frame buffer, not the textures, that causes this. The Z-buffer precision, to be precise (heh), determines how far away you have to be before stuff like that happens.
