That statement is incorrect, or at least incomplete. It is very possible to reveal an extensive vocabulary by way of name calling; the problem is people who use the same boring names as everybody else instead of getting creative. Furthermore, if one wishes to communicate the fact that he is an uncreative moron, lame insults are an excellent means to convey the message.
