Did the Devs change the Game Physics for the ships.
When I load up my ship with cargo to the max. It seems the game physics changed dramatically. My ship doesn't increase speed when I use turbo. Acceleration is slow, ship's response is sluggish. F/A mode is on, A/A mode is on & Mouse look on. When I use the mouse to move around the auto aim takes a long time to recenter. I did notice when I went back to the station & unload all of my cargo & launched. My ship can function with no trouble.
Ummm, take a look at your mass (lower right corner of your screen when in-station) when you are full of cargo compared to empty. Of course your ship will handle like crap when you are loaded down. Managing ship mass is like half of the game.
look at every cargo's mass. Things like weapons are heavy, things like fresh flowers not so much.

This may be my favorite 'we need smarter n00bs' thread ever.
I remember having this type of 'eureka' moment early in the game. It's likely a common feature for new players to not pay attention to one of the least useful motes of data when planning for the next assault on the local hive collectors. And, more so when buying commodities and equipment, "Mass? No matter, BUY ALL THE THINGS!", enough of that.
As CD stated, manage that mass if you want to move ass.

The same goes for the addons you equip. It might not matter much when choosing between a newbie Ion Blaster (100kg) or a Plasma Cannon HX (300kg), but when you start getting better guns, it adds up fast.
Duh. Thanks Conflict Diamond.I forgot about the type of Items mass that affects the ships mass. I forgot about that.
