Looking for PvP partners
I'm trying to find players who want to do some fighting with me, but this is very hard. Which is surprising since VO is famous for PvP. Although I'm playing every night, my last fight was about three weeks ago. What am I doing wrong? How can I find someone?

Have you been hanging out around greyspace? That's where most people hang out and where most fighting happens. Sedina B-8 in particular tends to be where people looking for a fight congregate, but it can also be pretty empty at times, especially when people are pursuing actual objectives (e.g. station conquest, trident building, etc.). Latos and the Edras-Bractus stretch can be good places to run into people.
If you see a bunch of people saying "gf" in chat, you could try asking where the fighting is.
If you aren't afraid of possibly making enemies, you could try instigating conflict, e.g. by attacking a conquerable station, or camping a wormhole and killing anybody who flies through.
Another option is teaming up with people who are combat-oriented. If you're an Itani or Serco, you could join one of the nationalist guilds ([ITAN] and [BR1], respectively). They ought to be willing to spar with their members, and if nothing else, you can tag along while they get into fights with the other side. Joining a pirate guild like [FAMY] or [CLM] would also be a way to get people to fight you. If you aren't ready to commit to a guild yet (very understandable), you could ask on 100 if anybody wants help fighting whoever they are fighting, and group up temporarily.

Where was your last fight 3 weeks ago?
If that's really the case, then you are almost certainly doing something wrong; I usually find a fight when I log in for half an hour or more, sometimes when I'm not looking for one.
If things seem slow, I'll teach you a magic phrase that may help when you write it in general chat: "Heading to Latos H-2 for PvP"

Pizza I am wounded that you would not mention RED. I thought we were friends, man
RED's dead, baby. RED's dead.
I was hanging around in Latos and Sedina. And I was asking on 100 for partners (so much that people started to insult me recently). Both things did not help. I was reluctant to attack players without provocation since I just wanted training fights and not full-scale ganking.
Next time you see Rin Ganborro in-game, bug me and I'll fight you. I tend to play most from Thursday through Sunday.
@Elwin: I'll spar with just about anyone, and match, scale, or limit my ship and load-out for newer players.
There is a loud contingent that try to say 1-on-1 consensual fighting is dead. Too bad: most of them need the practice ;)
But seriously, there has been a push to keep the "World PvP" natural and organic to the lore, so duelists and trainers/trainees are better off arranging a private rendezvous than loitering in a WH sector. At least until you are ready to take on being full-scale ganked.

Hey Rat I saw you askin and normally would oblige, but I had to do some botting at that time. Next time I'll fight ye.
@Eliwin
OMG that really stinks
Yes VO is known for PVP or at least mostly; and as perceived by advertisements anyhow.
Unmonitored space seems literal sometimes LOL.
I'm actually sad to hear this. Such a great game too IMO.

I'd be glad to send some PvP practice your way next time you see me online; I go by Phaserlight in game, also.
Ive never refused nor ever stopped looking for fights. Shatterdome.
