I suppose what I meant before I got caught up in that station idea is that unless there is something going on in-universe, directly related to the player's character and their influence, while the player is subscribed but inactive, it probably won't have much of an impact. Cosmetic skins and variant exclusivity are... personally speaking, they don't appeal purely because they don't impact the game world or the player character. Introducing a metagame that uses assets and technologies currently ingame, one that provides something substantial, I'm not sure if the station idea is ideal for *this* game. I can however tell you that it would get people interested and get people subscribed, and that you'd be able to limit any microtransaction element to something that's merely tangential to the game itself.
