So, how about that new Vulture?
Trolls have kind of been monopolizing this forum lately... Let's bring things back on-topic about the game. :)
If the detail textures don't work and the Annivult doesn't look purdy, who cares? Dr. Lecter can go cry about it. Drop in that new Vulture model!

Wait, am I still supposed to care about the AnniVult lies/changes?
Oops.

On August 24 Incarnate said the initial release was intended for 'last week' (so around Aug 17) but there were some shader issues.
On September 27 Incarnate said he was feeling 50/50 about the chances of the vulture being released 'tomorrow' (Sep 28).
Today is the 30th of October. Apparently it takes two months to sort out some shader issues. Are you guys paying poor old curt in potato chips or something?
So yes ARF, I know i'm bein' a big troll and such, but I just don't understand why it takes two months past expected release date to push content out. And I don't think any of my co-trolls do either. I think you'll find i'm a huge fan of this game, but i'm not delusional. Players want to see steady gradual release of progress made playable. When that doesn't happen it frustrates and rightly so.

Were you expecting Real time schedules? This game runs on Guild time. See Valve time. It's done when it's done, or maybe you can complain some more about it and they'll release it early with a high chance of non-feature-completeness like Tridents.
Illustrating that game developers regularly over-promise and under-deliver when it comes to delivery does not fill me with confidence.
I'm here because I'm bored and I want to play vendetta. Dammit.

No, you don't. You want to troll the forums and game chat via IRC. If you wanted to play Vendetta you'd just resubscribe and play.
he can't resub as long as the Itani juggernaught remains subscribed
And do what, build my fourth trident kit to sit in the garage?
He cant resub because he wants free play in december

So, I really should have released the new vulture, in some way, a little over two weeks ago. I believe that was when it became roughly possible. We had a bunch of different stumbling blocks before then.. it was in the game but not usable, it was usable but not very well, as different pieces of things needed to be updated.
I've had some family stuff going on, related to my cousin's death earlier in the year, and some various other events that have soaked up some of my time.
I admit I've also been a little reluctant to ship the vulture until I had time to be "around" to tweak things in any eventual post-usage firestorm of controversy. I wasn't sure that shipping it and then vanishing for a week would be a good idea.
Anyway, I think the vulture is solid to actually be used by people and able to configure guns and shoot stuff (for awhile there it couldn't have addons). I'd like to get it out shortly, as in this week. My big priority right now is writing a newsletter though, and trying to get that out tonight.

Cool Inc. Just take your time! We're patient. Althought this doesn't seem so always :)
why did you give it such crap stats? I think making it closer to the corvult would have been better so people would actually use it.
It's purely a temporary instance, for people to test, before it completely replaces the existing vulture, as has been discussed extensively already.
So I made it comparable to something that was widely available, so easy 1:1 A/B comparisons were easier.
