Vendetta online active player count
for those who don't know VO used to tell you the amount of active players logged on at any given time (and also showed their names but that is a different story) but for some cryptic reason the devs decided to give us a graph with no sense of scale other than time. Now it has been claimed by the devs that all the time spent on getting into the mobile market will bring great prosperity and the servers shall overflow with noobs asking "how do dck?". "but how can we verify this?" cried the masses of veterans "have faith ye neckbeards and trolls for i shall deliver you to the promised land, I incarnate, have promised you the stars and I shall Soon(tm) release a news post full of excuses!"
well worry no longer fellow space travelers for i have cracked the code. for the longest time momerath did not show up on the active players list, but recently he has for about 30 hours or so. anyways knowing that he is the only unaligned character in the game i used some photo shop wizardly to figure out the true number of players online, here are the results
Daily
Weekly
*momeraths little bar takes up two vertical pixels so i just measured that and the height of the graph
** hopefully there aren't any other unaligned players cause that would be embarrassing.

Naww peytros I knew you were lurkin' in the shadows!
Those player numbers are not news to us in the Red Eternal Dominion. We've correlated spotter data trends from 3 spotter network databases (FAMY, TGFT and our own) over around a two year period. 45 rounded up was the average peak number of players seen so if anything your pixel numbers confirm those numbers.
Incarnate already said in this post that they "ran out of money..." and "pivoted the company to do new platforms where... [the] supplementary income [kept them going]".
I don't think it's a huge revelation that it was of marginal game-play benefit to implement mobile ports before features. Nor do I think it was very intelligent to expect that we were going to see a lasting improvement in subscription numbers from mobile platforms, not that they ever explicitly expressed that expectation, we can only imply that from the urgency at which they pursued porting to platforms over gameplay under the assumption that subscriptions are intended to be the primary form of revenue. The reality turned out to be that it was a survival method, and a successful one at that.
They have especially recently been progressing towards focusing on game-play improvement. If they can implement a good featureset in a short period and then relaunch the game to the new star citizeneqsue space mmo player there is hope yet for the title.
Also, 55 players has never stopped us from having fun, if you could get that many people together around latos sedina and odia it would be a blast.

I assume Inc wouldn't approve of this, so I moved it temporarily.
