The dreaded concapult escape.

So after reading a post by Rin I came to a realisation...

That's right, it's back! You thought runners were a problem before, wait until you witness the HORROR of the concapult escape!

With the advent of persistent mines, you can establish your very own FTL escape routes. Simply position your concapult roughly 1000-1500m away from your engagement, fly to it in case of emergency and BOOM! a quick escape at Mach 29 leaving your enemies baffled and your hull safe!

Just when you thought that running in a prom was impossible, that your valk was limited to 225m/s or that your hound was too heavy to run away with swarms; the persistent concapult arrives to save the day!

Only 10 minutes to setup with any standard ragnarok purchase from Xiang Xi!

perfect.

Good!

It's also easier than ever to disable, since other player's (rocket, missile, mine, death) explosions properly trigger mines, you can just shoot them.

You can hide them INSIDE ASTEROIDS.

They are like mini undetectable portals of escape pwnage.

Undetectable except for the painfully obvious pile of dots on radar you mean?

The question is can you (still not) kill them if they are inside asteroids.

Several problems with that:

-One-time use per pile.
-Ages to set up without a trident, still a long time with one.
-Risk of hitting another object after launch.
-Risk of them being set off by someone else.

Cool, more use of tridents

Things inside asteroids don't appear on radar, so they are undetectable.

One-time use isn't a problem if they are persistent, neither is time, in an empty verse you have plenty of time to rig a sector with craploads of them.

Risks of hitting an object? More like risk of harmlessly bouncing off it or flying straight through it.

As for the risk of them being set off by someone else.. well, that'd be roflcopters.

Players inside roids don't. Mines still do.
