Coming back
I don't think I left a big impression on the older players, I was Phil Draco several years back. I've decided to wipe him and start fresh. I've got to say I'm really enjoying the updates! The new HUD is quite nice. I think I'll be around for a while!
I used to have a MS flightstick, but it's no longer working. I'm considering picking up the Saitek x52 pro... any pros/cons or other suggestions?
Edit:
Also, the fact that I can play this in bed via ps3 controller on my tablet has me excited beyond belief.

The x52 is a good stick. Several players have used it.
If you get the Dpad working well then you may want to stick with that - most platforms have a version of it.

Welcome back.
I personally use a Logitech Extreme3D Pro and it works well. It's a bit worn out after 2 years of furious bashing thanks to VO... Not bad for a $35 stick.
I've heard of other players using the Saitek x52 Pro. I'd personally consider it if you could buy it separately from the "throttle" controller that comes with it, but from what I understand they're a single unit. Those are built towards the typical airplane-style flight simulator games where you only have to control engine thrust in one direction as opposed to six.
To each his own, though. Enjoy!

Thanks guys! I'll check out the extreme3D. They have one in store at the fry's here in town. It's good to be back!
Welcome back
Make an impression this time. Maybe kill a carebear or something.
Rock out!

Logitech 3d extreme pro is what i use- love love love it- customization is awesome- lotsa buttons
Its not a *great* stick, but it's good for the price. :)
Just don't put excessive force on the hat-switch the way I do. The hat-switch's plastic housing is the only part I've really had any trouble with. I press it too hard and eventually one or all of the legs snap, so then I have to take it apart and superglue the housing back together.
That's actually what happened to my MS flight stick, the hat switch broke off at the base. I tried super gluing it, but it ended up just getting stuck to the housing. It was basically rendered useless for VO.
