No pyro, I'm pretty sure he's just an attention junkie. The best way to deal with attention junkie is to not give them any attention like FM said. Having said that, I think the best way to deny this kid attention would be by sending this thread to lockland.

A player named Adolph Hitler has come online and now Kastin started with some heil's. I am getting extremely offended with this. I don't want to ignore anyone cause I don't want it to happen behind my back. But I don't want to listen to it. And, the name should have NOT passed through the filter in the first place.

Did he say anything racist? I didnt hear him say anything racist. He just asked some very pointed questions about what really happend, and how the war started.

Yes, but that's more akin to asking if everyone named Adolph should have their head blown off. If it were just Adolph, I wouldn't care. Adolph Hitler, on the other hand, refers to a specific person.

I'm sorry, I can't come in-game from my current location to answer your "demand". However, from the sound of it, I'm not certain that there is actionable behavior. May I suggest that you go ahead and /ignore or simply disregard the behavior so it will extinguish itself? This sort of thing is only fun for the perpetrator if people (over)react. Sometimes this is the only power they feel in their lives. You can take it away by witholding the negative attention they crave.

as these people do not pose an immediate threat to you (physically), i think ignoring them is the safest and also least time and effort-consuming way.
like the FM and magus aptly put it, give them any attention exceeding ignoring them and you fuel their furnaces.
i understand your being offended and do not want to disregard that aspect, but i think you'd suffer less irritation if you were ignorant of what they type.

I have a character named Sir Francis Drake(which I only used once or twice but still). Francis Drake was a pirate who killed lots of people. Should that nick be banned? If someone wants to assume the name Beria, or Adolph Hitler, or George W Bush, or whatever, they should be allowed to. Same as if in the real world someone wants to be a nazi, he can be one, as long as he doesn't try to propagand hate to others.

But thats not the point, to a modern man, the name "Adolph Hitler" is almost the same as the name "Jew Killer". There's a slight difference between killing people and being the symbol of killing a whole bunch of people in a horrible way, ya know...

/me thinks that a lot of people, especially young people from countries not much affected by the war, don't quite realize the weight the name has. Therefore they make dumb jokes thinking "oou! For the record: I will not be banning Adolph Hitler based on the name alone (and yes, I know there has been a name change). I will be watching closely for other behaviour however.
