Another shot at kickstater
Out of curiosity, what do you guys think of another shot at kickstarter?
If you have read anything at all about the kickstarter you know it's a resource-intensive project, and another one is not likely to happen for a while. There are posts by Incarnate and co all over kickstarter threads about this.

Definitely in the first thread, probably in the second thread.

The result of the kickstarter suggests that internal crowdfunding would be a better idea anyway. So for instance the devs having crowd funding goals for individual features of the game with their own time-frames to be backed by the community and developed.
Allows a more relaxed approached to crowdfunding and there's no need for a timeframe. The devs can simply leave the features up there to be funded and when the funding is complete they can be developed.
I'd rather see this than the kickstarter, not only because it's a useful metric to measure which upcoming features are more popular, but also because it's a more sensible frame for discussion than the current rambling crap we have on the suggestions forum.
VO Suggestions Online used to be an awesome game, now its just full of crap.

I would certainly help if any suggestions thread would immediately be a "mini-kickstarter", where the devs would give a dollar figure to be raised and *any submitted would have to pledge/donate >10$ for his/her own suggestion* before it is published.
I was just thinking the devs could vet the suggestions and pick lets say 5 doable ones, put up a poll to choose the most popular one and do a kick starter off that. Once that's done, do it again. :-)
Too soon man, too soon.
