So, I thought you guys might be interested in some of the coverage from GDC last week:

(Don't expect everything to be 100% accurate, there's always a certain amount of "telephone" effect in any interview process, even for the most mindful journalist with interview recordings. The important thing here is the positive coverage and response from everyone who has played on the iPad version :).

It has some funny quirks, and it's good to be able to play it on my iPad I spose, but the most exciting part of that article for me was the stuff about VO 1.9 coming later in the year.
Hell to the yes!

Nice! What struck me is that the two articles that mentioned graphics were decidedly positive.
Nice press coverage!
Cool, Inc.
Those are some good articles.
I killed a PC player, Twice. I never saw them before so they may have been new...but still.. it was Hog 2 Hog!!
When I announced that it was a tablet kill over 100 they logged off in shame.

Very cool. Congrats devs!
If you’ve played Eve Online, you’ll feel right at home in Vendetta Online, an upcoming space-themed MMO for the iPad.
Ouch. ;)
Nice to see publicity.

So it's their fault we get a bunch of misguided newbs expecting to find Eve-style gameplay!
Nice going Inc! Also thanks for passing the touch UI improvements on down the line to us Android users. :)

Due to the first article, I will now proceed to buy an Ipad.
Damn.
Is the retina iPad the minimum requirement or wil it work on an iPad mini too?
It runs on an iPad2, and those have basically the same hardware right?
Yea, they are basically the same, cool to hear.
Yes, it'll run on any iPad2 or later, including the mini, with iOS 5+. We've tested mainly on ipad2/3/4, and don't have a mini at the office, but some of our beta people have them, as well as our rep at Apple, who said he loved it (I did try the game on a similarly-sized small Android tablet and found the UI to be ok, if requiring a little more accuracy).
In a quick update, we've also been picked up by TouchArcade:

as well as GameSpot and PocketGamer picking up the trailer.

Quick question, if I subscribe to the iPad version for $1 per month.. Does that give me access to play the PC client too?!
Tadunne - Yes it does :)
Interesting loophole..?
No I believe it's intended for the moment. It's still not as good as playing a full sub, but you get to try it on your PC this way before you commit to it which is good.
Oh right, what's the difference between the iPad $1 sub and the full sub?
