We joined the UTI because, well they were there when we started and seemed good enough. Being we don't know a thing about politics, ship types etc, one guess is as good as another.

So what does UTI do? We have a few of us looking to set up for the long haul. We were told if we wanted combat to be our game to join either itani or secro, but we have no idea whats going on yet.

UIT are traders.
Serco are Klingons turned Borg.
and Itani are repentant space nazis.

The Tani massacred the Serco, the Serco nearly wiped them out, the Tani left the planet... then the UIT decided to leave as well. Tani tried to apologize, Serco thought they were spies, war ensued.

In gameplay terms there is plenty of opportunity for UIT to get into combat.

First, you won't always be trading, there's hive to deal with, badges to get for better gear, bots to farm for tradeable or manufacturable maguffins etc. But assuming it's PvP you want, UIT can still get involved in both CtC and Deneb. You could be a pirate, and hunt traders. Hang out in Sedina B-8 for random pew-pew's or official duels etc.

Faille.

The most profitable way to trade is flying a moth filled with weapons through greyspace. Don't worry about not getting any combat :-)
