Anywho - just started playing a day or so ago. The one thing I've noticed is that there aren't too many red players on at any given time. Is this based on hidden sectors or just better craft? Both?

Welcome to Vendetta! Actually, it seems to be pretty even to me... Right now there's 6 blues, 7 reds, and 9 golds on.

ziffus, right now is the event that occurs right before a "reset" (all monies and inventories are wiped and set back to 0). Now would be a good time to get the hang of combat. If you ever see me (SirCamps, Bacix Tenra) online, ask me for some money. Most other people should give you a couple million as well without any heartburn. Explore the galaxy, and "set home station" in sector 9. You'll get lots of combat experience (although a lot of deaths) very quickly.

I belive Alienb gave me 2.5 mil the other day, which was more then enough to explore. I've made another 4-5 million since then and have grown used to the envrionment.

My only problem is aiming. My joystick seems to be too sensitive for energy weapons and I have yet to get the hang of the mouse. I'm pretty much stuck where I am for the time being, but hope to resolve the issue.

try turning the the sensitivity down on the in game menu. i think a sensitivity option is available but i cant remember. besides that i dont use joystick so i cant say that i have ever had that problem. if you dont get used to the mouse of the joystick you can try playing with the keyboard only, in my opinion it would be much harder and take much longer to get a good rythm down. good luck and play well....
