How to buy a Lite subscription
I want to buy a Lite subscription but I don't have any Android device so I can't buy the sub on Google Play store.
I want to subscribe and play on my desktop computer. Isn't it possible?

You can't, at present. We're only exposing the Lite subscription option to mobile platforms for the moment, as it's highly experimental and still in development. The conditions may change at any time (such as the limitations of those account types). This is why there hasn't been any kind of formal press release on the Lite subscription as of yet.
To frame things more bluntly: If we suddenly roll out a lite model that isn't "tweaked" to the right balance.. and cause a lot of our existing desktop subscribers to transition to it, we will go out of business.

No problem, I understand. That makes sense to me. Thanks for answering my question!
I can give you a two week key if you don't have one already.
Simple solution:
Do not sell as subscriptions, long-term relationships.
Instead, simply sell "Limited Time Usage Permission", valid until YYMMDD.... Max 30d.
That way you can change the rules with a 30 days warning and not break anyone's "purchase".
Two alternatives for transtioning:
1. Support two "Lite-N" rulesets, for "new" ald "old" modes / rules.
...Worst case: Must support two rulesets for 30d.
2. Simpler, state that Lite subs purchased from now on will change the rules on date MDY as (new rules) for all new purchases.
...Worst case: after 30d the old customers expires and you implement the new ruleset. Customers during transaction are aware of new ruleset implementation date

...thus alienating formerly loyal desktop users. Yours is a solution to a problem they are already successfully avoiding.
Not at all, Whistler... Nowhere above says that Subs will be sunset.
It simply address a new product, that complements the existing line of options, one more alternative.
Maybe I expressed it dubious in above post, let me re-phrase:
Do not sell LITE as subscriptions, long-term relationships. Regular Subscriptions already exist for that.

You did a little editing since I commented and I see what you were getting at now.
So whats the status of the lite sub now for google play store? Still cant buy it.
Lite subs have been available on the Google Play Store for months. Recurring "Lite" subs are possible within Vendetta Online from the Play Store and Amazon AppStore. Non-recurring lite purchases are also possible on iOS and WinRT (Surface).
