I guess i just dont see the honor in blasting an empty warthog with some supership - 300000 creds, the ship and cargo wasnt worth 1/12 of that, why would i pay (if i had it)? It boils down to time and with this model of trial and error, too much is wasted. Your passion for the game is respected. Happy hunting.

Incarnate, though we are in the general forum, if I could suggest the 5-10 closest ships as targetless displays it with the option to show none, all, npc, or player characters, as well as the numeric targeting option, that would be a great asset to new players getting their feet wet in combat.

VALLYENT, though I am terrible with names, and don't know if I am one of the ones that found you, if you want some combat advice and or practice, I'm happy to share what I have learned in my time playing. This includes escape tactics, and general pvp advice.
