Suggestion for bountybot
Enable customized listing. So If I type
/msg "bountybot" list 15
He will list the top 15 players. Make the number a variable. As of now, the standard top 5 thing is useless, because Bountybot never comes out, so his 1.1 million credit bounty only takes up space. Jamoto is never on, so his whopping 26.1 million bounty also only takes up space.

yes i think that would be a good addition to the bountybot system, however, i think a bounty should be cancelled if a player with a bounty isnt on to at least put is bounty up for grabs. then again bountybot would have to be a dev to know if a player has been on so this idea wouldnt work unless the devs gave bountybot the power to do so...

Another suggestion is to make it not abusable. As in having a partner kill you voluntarily and splitting up the costs. Dunno how you'd solve such a problem, but it essentially makes the bountybot useless and gives the criminal a chance to profit off of YOUR money.
Yeah, that is one of the biggest problems right now.
That has to be solved with bigger penalties for dieing.
I think these issues will change as money becomes more difficult to come by. It will one day be more serious to lose a ship, and we won't have as much disposable income.
FM, the problem Arolte was alluding to is this:
Doofus 1 posts a 2,000,000 credit bounty on Pirate 1, because Pirate 1 has really been cutting into Doofus 1's trading. Pirate 1 comes on over to Pirate 2, and they organize a transfer of the bounty. Pirate 2 waits for Pirate 1 to undock in 9 in a bus, and immediately destroys the bus, garnering the 2,000,000 credit bounty, with half going to Pirate 1.
A bus costs nothing to lose.

I was clear on that. I was commenting that I think that one day the huge bounty will be harder to come by.
i c your point course FM is correct in thinking that the money will become harder to come by so a bounty will be impossible to make so big...

BountyBot will still exist after the reset, but will have no credits just like everyone else. All BountyBot stats and accounts will be reset if Vendetta resets.
oh darn.... hmm... i might start to use bountybot after the reset.... i havent decided yet...
