Capship manufacturing
So, it's been a while for me in VO. Jumped back in the game today and tried the capship manufacturing mission. It brought me to Latos M-7 (i think), but then I'm totally lost. Anyone care to help me on my way? I don't need a full explaination, just a little push to help me on my way.
I'm not sure if this is 100% up-to-date, but it should give you an idea of what's involved: http://vo-wiki.com/wiki/Manufacturing#Trident_Type-M
Thanks slime, that gave me a good idea of the stuff I need, now I just need to know what or where to look for in Latos M-7
That would be the shipyard station. Royal pain in the ass to find, but one of the missions (I forget which) gives you a marker on your radar for it.
If you do the umpteen bazillion megawatt reactor mission, it adds a waypoint for you to find the docks at Latos M-7.
Yea start with the reactor mission. It's a 30k trip so it is hard to find without the waypoint
Ok cool, thanks
Btw, the TTM list on the vo-wiki is wrong.
Aw, i already bought some bearing grease, data link connectors and gyroscopes. We'll see if i can use them. At least I can sell them with profit in case i don't need them.
Actually I downloaded / stole that one site and started updating it and removed the flash buttons
Also added some instructions to a few things as well
Here is the 200MW reactor page you need to finish this before you get the M7 station
Hope this helps
http://icl.zapto.org/Trident_Construction/plasma_reactor.html
I actually have the complete construction instruction set with notes added to each part also but this should help get you started
That is one thing I regret completing is the Trident. I consider subscribing from time to time just to complete that task that I started.
If that page doesn't work let me know.
I may have to upgrade my NOIP services because their free service doesn't give you wildcards * in the dns records which may restrict subdomains and also won't work with www. However http://??? should work fine
Anyhow hope this helps
Good luck with getting the project completed

Cool, Thanks for the link captain86. I have a feeling it's going to be a pretty long project for me, but that's fine. The adventure part of it is pretty fun too. I already met a very colourfull and interesting idividual during my endeavour in Pelatus and i'm pretty sure he won't be the only one.
It's going to take you many months to build maybe like 6 months I think
I actually have some other pages that gives estimated hauling times for each material type with amounts needed for each component; and how many loads you need in a heavy moth hauling 200cu etc.
Some people list the entire amounts and others like the wiki's show the amount for 1 item etc.
I thought it would be useful to know how many trips, to a particular location and how long each one way trip takes. Then from there you can calculate how long it will take you to build either 1 or X number of components.
Then I put this in the spreadsheet too so people can see things like OK it's going to take me 16 trips in a fully loaded trident with 4 helper moths of sss just to build xxx components etc.
Ihave calcs in a rented Trident hauling items with 0-4 helpers in moths as well as just hauling in a single moth yourself for each portion as well.
That way you can plan based on how much you think you might do each day you login and how many days a week etc. you might work on it.
This will give you the anticipated time of completion and so you can try to stay on schedule or ahead of schedule
Happy building
It wasn't quit finished before I stopped playing but I am considering subscribing again just to finish my trident. I don't know exactly why since there is limited player activity. However, I did miss seeing all the sectors the graphics are really good.
