This is kinda related to my discussion with Furball about in-game behavior. RL morals and character can carry over, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they will. Also realize that right now (and for the past month or so) is a huge big-bash, free-for-all, party that usually occurs before a reset.
Also, another note. The character "Mirabel" has a bad habit of shooting you with double-gauss in his Prom and then complaining when you attack him. He also doesn't understand why more people are then more ready to attack him preemptively. The character needs to learn something about aggressive behavior.

I had recently had a problem with this. I find that I hate this time before resets because it seems like when you want to go do something someone wants to be a jerk and do x (x being something that really annoys me, for instance mining station 9, using avalons in the ports in 9, shooting me in the back a couple of hundred meters from the warp out of 9...) and here's what I've decided to do about it. I have some characters that I've done a pretend reset on. I started new chars, and they don't go to 9, and they usually avoid 7. My old character with all my money however now is homed in 9, and does all those really annoying things that I hate, he's my release. This is about the only way I stay sane during moments like these.
actually, I've noticed its not as bad usually before resets as it is when there is something shiny and new in the game. for instance: when the frigate was dockable, it was evil in there... when 9 opened up, it seem/s/ed like everyone is in there all of the time, hence the hectic, frantic problems.

I try to keep to the right side, but with so many villans traveling the spaceways its not easy. Alas, such is the fate of the virtueous.

I've also had a "pretend reset" with a few of my characters, killing bots for cargo/money and building up from nothing....
Honor (which is pretty much related to morals) is a keyword in my way of playing.
… I'm not entirely sure how it got this way, tho.
Honor can be many things, but I mainly concentrate on these aspects of it:
- Helping out newbies (giving tips, helping 'em to get started etc).
- Following duelling rules when duelling (no docking… and no ramming).
- Never exploit (nuke exploiting, insta-n00k) or station-mine.
- Never abuse other players verbally (that happens sometimes, but not often).
There are so many players without morals.. let alone honor, out there.
It's sad - but I believe that when the final game is released, more honorable
players will start playing (I'm not saying that nobody here is honorable, tho).
- archon.

I've created my new, primary [VPAI]Roguelazer account. I travel in an unarmed Atlas to mediate disputes and train n00bs of all colours.
There's only four types of people that I really hate :
1) Newb killers.
2) Station hiding trash talkers.
3) Exploiters.
4) One trick ponies. (aka Valk jockeys.)
People will continue to do questionable things until there are more serious consquences to their actions.

im in total agreement with archon and hunter alpha... i live by my code of honor and morals and dont break them. im just tired of people having morals and saying they do but then go around and go against what they say so im losing my cool a lot more often while on vendetta... i do lose my cool a lot but its usually things outside that are bothering me... now things on the inside are bothering me and im not sure if things are gonna stay that way or change
