/me crosses this off my Vo bucket list

Also the aeolus logo looks like a car brand

I went ingame and then vomited screenshots of all the faction description pages with the logos into imgur.

Axia's description seems to have disappeared, but I'm not sure when it happened.

Sweet, thanks scuba!

The logos look sweet, but I am a little disappointed that my redesign ideas didn't seems to have much of an effect on the final looks.
Oh well.

Nice, Scuba. Shared.

Agreed on the Aeolus logo. Looks like half of a Citroën emblem.

some of the logos are pretty good but the serco one sucks. there is no need for the stars around the fist. the corvus one is also a little on the dull side. and the biocom logo looks like it says CIOCOM. the valent and ineubus ones are cool though.

In case you missed it, the stars around the Serco fist represent the different systems under the Dominion's control: Initros, Rhamus, Pyronis, Betheshee, Sol II, Geira Rutilus, and Dantia.

Don't you find it amazing that a faction gets new logos, but remains without description?

Doesn't Axia, Tunguska, Aeolus and Ineubis deserve some description?
That's not much dev's time, and even community can help... and complete that void... "Place description here"...

I don't find it amazing at all. The logos were the product of training a new employee, not a concentrated effort to complete the factions What I do find amazing is that they:
1) Have a new employee
2) Somehow found time to train him
3) Produced something useful in the process

You mean he didn't arrive at Guild with mad Photoshop skilz already?

Kinda thought that might've been a requirement... :-D

There is much, much more to learning the specific art pipeline of a complex game than simply learning photoshop. ;)

I agree with peytros about the Biocom logo. The middle part of the B should have more contrast with the background.

Also, it seems like most of the minor faction logos ignore the already established faction colors. The only ones that get it right are Corvus, Ineubis, and Xang Xi. I'd prefer if the logos and/or faction colors were adjusted to match. They don't all have to match (e.g. the Orion one makes sense as-is), but it would be nice if most did. Like the Axia logo - that would look just as nice with purple instead of green on the X, and that would add more variety since most of the logos use blue or green.

One critique on the Itani logo: the little background details in the shield don't look good at low res. It feels like it's a low quality gif using dithering. Probably better to just skip them for the small version.

What that fucking fuck is that, the Corvus parakeet?

>What that fucking fuck is that, the Corvus parakeet?

A stylized version of some unspecified corvid, obviously.

I assumed he know what Corvus referred to, and was complaining that the logo looks more like this than this or this. I suppose he has a point; it is a little less than menacing. Though it does look a little bit better in-game than it does in the screenshot - the screenshot is shrunk a little, which reduces the effect of the inverted triangle eye and makes it look a little cuter.

Oh hey, another place logos could be used: the character select screen, if you logged off while docked with a station.

At least Rin was smart enough to figure it out.
