223.1 made me lol
Thus another half ass implementation. They should have been restricted from 100. Sigh.
I agree with Vskye
On the plus side, it's about friggin time they fixed that Windows audio bug (not that it ever impacted me, as I use a real OS, but still). The fix to the home station is also appreciated.

I'm confused, are they not restricted from 100?

They are restricted from talking in 100, sector, system or any other channel but 1 (where they are rate limited to 15 seconds). They are also unable to create or join groups or guilds..
I just made a new account with a new Itani character. Some notes...
- When guided to take my first mission, the entire client's connection to the server appears to stop responding while it waits to get more potential missions. This lasts a few minutes for me, and prevents the Mission Info dialog for Training I from appearing until it's done. During that time I was also unable to undock and new chat messages didn't appear, until the several minutes had passed. I also experience this often on my main account when switching to the Missions tab for the first time after logging in.
- Channel 1 chat works, and I was correctly blocked from using channel 100 and /msg'ing. This wasn't the case when I tried on an old trial account with a new character, but I assume that's intentional.
Now vskye and USMC look like fools. ;)

No, the genius who wrote up the version notes looks like a fool.
And given GS's track record with all things Vendetta for the last 7+ years, it's probably best to not start tossing around the 'look like fools' label.

Slimey One, no where in the release notes does it state they can not talk on 100. So you are the fool that wrote the notes :)
It does, however, state so here. And if you had tested it yourself instead of jumping to conclusions you would have further verification. Calling something half-assed without doing any research on it (and ending up being wrong!) is a little lazy and insulting, in my opinion.
Where it proudly, Lecter.
ANYWAY, thanks for all the actual fixes and changes gleaned from user suggestions.
I understand the confusion in that the version notes don't explicitly state all the limitations. But, if we had explicitly stated every limitation and change that was made as a part of this new system, the version message would be like 3 pages long. There are a lot of little tweaks and changes, some visible and some more subtle.
Anyway, yes, if anyone finds any actual problems, please let us know. Like, the mission info delay is interesting, I thought we mitigated that some time ago. But in general, it's better to ask than to assume that we didn't implement something.

The delay this time is that when you are logged in most missions don't show up unless you click a category manually or wait 5 min
Yeah the Devs need to work on getting the delay reduced in some fashion.
I believe we improved the way the download happens to make it less impactful, but we probably need some client-side caching to really improve things. I'm not sure on the current state of the mission interface, but yes, it is something we need to address.
Maybe just include a copy of all the missions and then d/l a matrix of whats availible? <Shrug>
If it takes a few minutes on dsl then I know its gotta take a while on dialup.

Inc, what you need is a FILTER that only downloads/displays LOCAL missions as default. There are way fewer local available missions than universally-avaiable missions...
And that solves two problems, since makes initiall download much faster, while also keeping it more obvious/logical only displaying missions you can take "now" (instead of go-there-and-take), all that while keeping the OPTION to see all universe's missions as option, with a "wait..." or hourglass when selected.
(or nothing, as it is easier to accept some delay when asking for 'more content')
Even more impotant for android users, since mobile connections are way slower than xDSL...

I agree with Alloh.
