Yes, I always have mouselook on, yes I use the joystick for strafing only.

Oh, and quite recently I had the fabulous idea to plug in my old Logitech WingMan steering wheel and use the pedals for forward/backward strafe ;)

Sure. This obviously won't work with the official Logitech Windows/Mac software, but it's straightforward enough that you can problably make sense of it.

Just want to say that after spending some time tweaking a profile for the Logitech G13 (thanks abortretryfail), I am really liking this setup with a mouse.

Pretty cool that VO supports the LCD and I can see my license progress there.
