Finally found something interesting to do in a trident Lol. Here is the result below. Unfortunately because I was filming in the 3rd person freelook view, it was terribly jolty camera work, a kind of machinma view would be helpful, but ultimately this feature already exists if you just pilot a ship without mouselook on.

Yeah I filmed it just randomly, my recording device was Gnome Shell, theres a shortcut key in gnome 3 that captures your desktop. If it wasn't for that i wouldnt have recorded, i was just bored in trident and i saw a cool shot so i took it.

I've actually recorded all the footage in twinview i.e. 3840x1080 with my second screen as well, and then I've cropped it with Kdenlive and added the effects. It takes a huge hit to the game FPS while recording so it's not ideal. Definitely couldnt PvP and record it with that setup.
