I've recently acquired a Radeon 9800 Pro, but I have issues with the new 3.3.3 stations as well.

Yesterday I was able to crank all of the settings except for distance detail up to maximum and play. Now my FPS drops down as low as 8 FPS when looking at the station. Turning rglow off fixes the problem, but I like rglow...

So Urza with his "POS" card had difficulties, and I with the 9800 Pro had them too.

What exactly was done to the station, anyway?

EDIT: I just read some more posts... was the big modular station added in 3.3.3? I was talking about the station in s6! I also read that there are some problems with the late model ATI cards... so I'll just sit tight.

my difficulties with an ati radeon 9000:

1. upon entering sector 9, graphics in radar get screwed up and never recover.

2. high graphics settings that worked in 3.2 are now unplayable in directx rendering. opengl simply crashes vendetta (i'm still waiting for a fix for that). and yes, i have the latest and greatest drivers from ati.

I have the Radeon 9600 Pro, which is a step down from the 9800. Ray said there are lots of ATI/mac issues to be sorted out.

I have a Nvidia TI- 4600 on a PC that has all the glitches as well, I think its just a part of the development, its got to be out there before they can optimize it, ya know?
