Veterans of online-gaming tests know that most other companies open the tests only for a short time after a new version or limit the days/hours that users can be online.
guild is very generous in this regard.

Very true. However, for such a small team as Guild, this test has been a very smart move.
Being that guild has 5 to 6 members, they lack the ability to do extensice bug testing themselves, as well as (no offence guys, you're doing great) crap.. I'm sleepy and forgot the word. The dudes who come up with a lot of ideas for stuff.
Having such a large amount of users allows for a large number of bugs to come in as well as a large group of people who know what they want as a player.

No no no, those are the dudes that actually implement the idea.

I'm not bored with current release. On the contrary, some of the endless wars that were going on kept a lot of "lesser players" like myself from being able to develop skills and explore the universe. So yes, it's quiet, but it's not all bad.....
I'm not bored too. Just trading a little less, awaiting the "Big Bang" setting us all back to zero.
Exploring different things instead and practice some flight-tactics.
It's still fun. And it will go better and better, I'm sure.

I had tons of fun unleashing 250 missiles/minute yesterday...
Ooo... How? Tri flares plus dual large rockets?
Tri geminis plus dual swarmers. Missiles not rockets. :D Kill after kill until Jm262 got in his own giant lag killer ship.

hmm...
has anyone of you ever read the comic book "The Silver Surfer" by Moebius? The guy that made the Incal series?
there, it is said, that if a being survives the closure of an universe and lives on in the next one, he has then the powers of a god... (also, in the marathon game series, durandal survives the closure of the universe iirc and thus becomes god-like... he's been a megalomaniac forever, but that justified it somewhat ^.^)
i wonder, how many resets were there up to now, and who has "survived" all of them?
hmmm... i definitely shouldn't post here right after having taken a 3-hour-exam...

There was the 2.8 reset (I think, not there), the 3.0 reset, the 3.2 reset, the 3.2.12 (or whatever the 200k rest was) and the soon-to-be 3.3.x reset.
