The Art of Vendetta Online
I once read on these forums that VO was a "literature" MMORPG. While this may sound toungue-in-cheek, certain parallels can be drawn between the VO server and classic works of cyberpunk fiction. I made a short video as the product of a sleepless night, overactive mind, and my rediscovery of the scenic beauty VO has to offer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xC8cpO1xaiE
It's 2 minutes long, designed as a trailer, and has a sort of matrix-y feel to it. Even after having an account for 7 years, 11 months, and 17 days I am surprised by a corner of the universe I must have passed by dozens of times on my way to such and such a location. Other places are old favorites I revisit again and again. I hope to share some of this with you, and let you share it with others if you choose.
The video may have a "modest production budget" as VO has also been described, but I did what I could and this is also one of those "you get the idea" type of things. If you haven't read Neuromancer or Snow Crash I highly recommend either title, then join the PCC and let's spin a few yarns.

Very cool.
The camerawork is great, in particular the flyby of the station. Which is why I don't understand the need for the cringe-worthy text, or the inexplicable music shift halfway through. Also, the mass of what I can only assume are mission debug messages at the end have a more of an "in the way" feel than a "matrix" feel.
In summary: Great video. It's nice to see that someone actually does shit for VO, instead of just talking about impossible translations.

Fun to watch indeed. I agree with Genka on all but the text, which I found interesting.
