Player Contribution of 3D models/textures?
I read through the Player Contribution Corps page and was wondering if being a part of the PCC includes contributing new models or textures to the game. I didn't see any specific mention of this just sentence "... and the enjoyment of creating or influencing new content for the universe."
Anywho, I'm new to the game (about 2.5 hours into the trial) and I've done some minor contributions to another online MMO (Star Sonata) and I enjoy fiddling with models and graphics that might used in game during my spare time, so that's what made me bring up the topic. That, and I find some of the current ship models, namely the Centaur and some of what seem to be older ships, to be a bit... "uninspired," I believe is how Gamespot put it.

Great, another one.
Oh well, it's been a while ....
Can't you just join the PCC and write some cool missions ? We need those too, and other players have made some pretty sweet stuff.
Getting your artwork into VO is by all accounts a pretty convoluted process and nobody's stuck the course yet although I think Xico came close. I seem to recall Inc making a pretty detailed post about the requirements but I can't be bothered to search for it. Undoubtedly somebody will do it for me.

Don't mind Lecter. We love that you want to contribute, but, as JJDane mentions, it's a pretty convoluted process. There's a big gap between making a cool model, and creating a useful game asset. I think this is the best discussion of the subject.
Ah, that was a very informative post! Thanks! :)
