A little frustrated with space cows
I mean really, isn't there any way to track them? They just log in and bump my ship whenever they want. Has anyone found a way, maybe by the use of a plugin to track the spacecows and make them stop bumping my ship? I just get kind of annoyed that targetless doesn't do all this stuff for me.
Yeah. You need the FarmerJohn plugin. It lets you stick color coded ear-tags on them (only you can see them though). To keep them from bumping you, though, you have to do:
/farmerjohn cattleprod auto
It's disabled by default, but if you set it to auto it will work on any space cows that get within 50 m. Otherwise you have to trigger it manually (just leave off the 'auto').
I don't remember where the download link is though. Try searching the forum.
Personally though, I just kill everything that comes close, cow or not, so I don't have that problem.

You also need to get your friends to help you farm your spacecows while you're offline, feeding them and tending to your space-crops. Then you can eventually unlock the space-barn and space-fence to keep the spacecows from wandering around too much.
Protip: buy the space-fence before the space-barn. If your space-cows are too crowded in the space-barn, they'll tend to get dysentery and have to be pawned off onto someone who isn't quite sure how the disease system works. Unfortunately, there was nobody within range to pawn off my sick space-cows to, so I had to just let them all out of the space-barn for a while. Since I still don't have a space-fence most of them wandered off.
All I have left is this one sickly space-cow mewling in an indescribably rancid puddle in my space-barn. I'm too scared to let him out at this point, I don't want to lose everything :(

I've heard space whales will eat space cows (even sick ones). So if you spot a space whale just lead it to your space farm and problems solved :)

Umm there's a bug in the new version. When a player riding a cow bumps one of the new space cow mkII's it causes all the other cows to see the ridden cow is hostile and they bite it repeatedly until it dies.
This is kind of a game-breaking issue, any chance we can get this fixed?!

Mooooo!
That's actually a design decision. I feel philosophically that large numbers of hostile space cows make for a more dynamic and engaging environment, and that this portrayal of aggressive reactions is more realistic and immersive.
Any chance we can get blue cows with diamond shapes instead of the black white version of camp we currently have?
Oh and Are bulls going to be added at any time?

I think the addition of bulls could violate our "T for Teen" rating.
First, that's not the only violation they'd cause. Second, what I do with flares to the poor UIT nooblets in Dau would justify at least an NC-17 rating, full-on M for Mature if they're the pre-lubed variety of sunflare.
We're getting a bit off-topic, but I didn't realize you could apply lube to sunflares. Maybe that would've helped keep all my space-cows from running off in the first place.
