Bot respawn locale
With school starting up again this week, I haven't had much time to play with 3.3, but I did notice one thing. With 200,000 credits and about an hour to waste, I increased my score from 67,000 to 123,000.
All through the magic of lightning mines and station-spawning bots.
With their starting and end points fixed, it's easy to string a line of mines, or create a wall just when their invincibility stops. Now don't get me wrong, I hate the green nation just as much as anyone, but this doesn't seem fair to the bots. If they could post, those few bots that I killed hundreds of times would spam these boards in protest. It was a slaughter that would make s7 grimace.
Unless the proposed anti-station-mining features or some other measures are implemented, it's going to be easy to rack up kills without doing any real work. Think of the bots.

FM's been doing this crazily... FMII will be in like second place in like... a week.
That's funny. But yeah, I guess I'll make them spontaneously appear in their patrol points instead of launching from the station. Oh, and make them fight back. That's kinda important too.
Do they *HAVE* to fight back? Can't we just slaughter them mercilessly?
If they are near mines when they spawn, run a special piece of code that tells them to get away from the mines (boosting if they have to) and then promptly de-mine.

No, they don't look for mines when scanning for targets anymore. That's something I'd like to change.
Ooo... Could you create bots in each station sector that spawn at the station, have a patrol radius of 250-500 meters (I don't know what would be a good radius), and only target mines? Those would be good as a makeshift anti-mine zone...
Yeah, hmm. I could use the existing 'turret' models as more of a 'mini bot' model instead which fly around slowly and stick near the station.
Or the frigate turrets being slapped on to stations, which I somehow guessed correctly according to some dev.
