Gosh... that was such stirring up done on the valk thread, wasn't it? Juging by numbers of replies and the tone of some of them you could say there IS a problem here..Now, i am not gonna whine, nor bitch about anything (Nor I did in the last thread). Just simple facts:
Those of you who played for longer than 4 months and started when vendetta had 3 types of ships, 4 types of rockets, and 3 types of lasers i am just asking:
1. Do you notice a difference in fighting or not?
2. Do you like the way that the game is going? I have played before, than I had 6 months break and just came back. What I noticed? Train of rockets raming from 6 directions, because it's the fastest way to win. Any one miss the times when you COULD NOT fire more than 1 rocket? (Some of you I am sure are shocked! but yes there were times when you couldn't mount more than 1 rocket launcher on a small ship:) It was also impossible to fire different types of rockets together. (Did I just hear some1 said "That sucks!" ?) It took way much more skills to kill some1 than today. (No wonder the schocking over 1mln scores!!)
3. Coming back to valks..(he he he). This is the main reason why I think the skill fights will be soon in minority (Already are i am affraid). As some1 said in last thread (Takumi? perhaps...?) Every pilot should have his own style of fighting and his own prefference of weapons. Unfortunatley, right now only one method of fighting dominates (simply becasue of the "Bad-Ass Ship" which so many of you love:)and I am said to see it might just stay that way. That's what happens when you give only 1 superior ship model and nothing really egual to it with different kinds of weapons. Why the other nations don't have superior fighters that could stand up to walk with its own weapons and its own different fighting abilities?
And for all those who called me noob I say "So?..." Lets see your great performance while you are rammed by 3 valks? (not mentioning fighting a forth ship:) Don't think any skills will play THAT much difference in that situation.... And believe me you might find yourself very soon in this place as new players easy find out how fast they can kil with a valk-rocket-alley. Perhaps in few months even the aces will regret the direction that valk is poiting the game. And I will be there to say "I told you so...." Regretably...

Well, I've been around since around 2.7, and have seen it go from laser/ions + homers + mines to the present, and can say, "yes there is a huge difference!!"

If you're being attacked by 4 ships, get them to destroy each other (a bad habit of rammers), or pick them off one by one. But lastly, RUN!!!

And I have a distinctive playing style. 2 gauss and rocket, or 2 tachs and rocket. Is that nerf-able or somehow low? I know many others do too. Uncledave likes 2 tachs on a vult. etc etc etc.......

You're complaining about the content of a test. This won't be in the final game.

no it isnt.

Everybody has his prefered ship. But dont stare blind at it. try other things. maybe you will like ti. besides the first week that I played, I was in a valk 2 gauss, 1 rocket or 1 gauss , double rocket. "you know double sindewoinder flares ;)"

Now to get back at uncledaves prefered ship:

He hasbnt got one single one, he used to fly a valk "forgot set up", then he went to a hog, after that he discovered the prom, and now he went to the vult.

Thisd was just an example of showing my point, dont stare yourselve blind at one ship, fly other things and test different set ups on them.

Naturally if there is a team effort needed thing, hop in your prefered ship because ut will mostly highten the chances of success, but for the rest : experiment, experiment, experiment

Yeah, but regardless of what ships ANYONE USES, you're gonna get beat 4:1 odds. Unless it's someone like Icarus or myself *grin* against 4 vastly inexperienced people.

me is even beat at 2- 1 odds, But I dont mind, as long as I was aware of them 2, then I dont mind at all.

me needs a check people at 500m button :(
