Sounds like a lot of nice new, shiny stuff.

And yeah, I know about the Greyhound. One of my all-time most utilized ships. Nearly useless for me in combat, but makes a lovely little runabout with the InfiniBoost

Mine. But I don't think you're the right gender to rent time with it.

Oh please. Everyone has a price, baby.

Thanks for pointing the other sticks out to me, Ryan and Phase~

Edit: Ryan, that steel battalion controller looks kickin' rad. Do you know how it compares against a high-end stick designed for flight sims? Sensitivity, accuracy, whether or not the stick drifts after constant abuse, etc

Scuba if you do return and make code I should let you know that I have a new "box" and it might not break your plugins anymore...

then again it's doing a great job at breaking compilers somehow...

Black, and nice hijack, Scuba ;-) it would be great to see you both back. There are new events as well. CTF is back and the new Guide-run event sounds like it will be a winner.

As always, the game needs dedicated reporters for the Devs and I know both of you are loaded with untapped contributions.

Come back in, kick the tires, get rid of the rust and tear this game a new arsehole!

I'm actually considering coming back to this game from a hiatus since 2003. I played almost religiously during the beta, the gameplay was so reminiscent of Descent with six degrees of freedom that it just had me coming back for more.

Unfortunately I was young at the time and couldn't afford an MMO subscription, and was also impatient and disappointed that I could no longer abuse bugs for essentially infinite money to "skip" the MMO portion of the game and just play it as an online version of Descent.

So I ask, as a guy who solely played this game for the combat is it worth coming back to? Can I still demolish unsuspecting folk with my Marauder and not have to grind skills and/or money?

If you doubt me, check my post history ;)

If you've got the skills, you could get yourself up to level 4s and be a force to be reckoned with. Death is still cheap.

I'd have to find a new joystick, my old one is ADB and I don't think I own anything with an ADB port anymore!

Wish I had some of my old beta screenshots, they were classics! -4124% damage on a Vulture from the physics wing bug, 17 billion m/s in a Marauder, and a whole lotta cryin' in chat.

I am a combat pilot and always have been, had you come back pre 2008 you probably would have been pissed but there is enough combat stuff to do and be paid for plus of course random pvp duels and events in gray space.

Leveling isn't too annoying anymore you can get to a decent level in a day and a good one in 2 just by spending an hour or 2 in game each day then you'll be good to go for anything else

Well I think I'm gonna try it out at least, I finally got linux all situated on my workstation with a radeon 4850 and I need something to play beside Diablo II!

See you suckers in game, watch your six...
