hi,
did I missed something? Why was there no patch last saturday?

cause there wasn't?
We had two in one week at the end of August. Then there was the holiday weekend. Since then they've been tweaking the changes made in the last update.
There was no patch. I was going to write a newspost about it, but then later didn't.
I'll be writing a newspost sometime soon. It's nothing bad, just some of the Big Marketing Projects coming due and some new opportunities suddenly cropping up. All good stuff for the game and the company.

I like good things.

Patches come whenever patches come, but I was unaware that there was a meaningful distinction between the two.

what holiday weekend?
Labor Day, which was on Monday the 6th, making last week a four-day week.

If you mean a distinction between what's good for the company vs what's good for the game, there isn't a meaningful distinction between the two. But I often explicitly state it, so people are reminded of the fact.
