The machine that hosts voice chat, among other things, recently went down. I won't conveniently be able to check out what's wrong with it until tomorrow. In the meantime, voice chat may be down. FYI.

Nobody cares about voice chat enough to notice it seems, so I'll say why.

It's not widely enough implemented in game. Limiting it to groups when there are so few players playing is silly, but also would be making voice chat universal. I dunno, I think this might be a good idea, and probably should be in suggestions, but seeing how you posted this in general, what the hell.

Enable voice chat on these channels.

guild
station bar

Voice chat can already be turned off, and I personally think the best way to decide which *channel the voice chat client should listen to would simply to be the last channel the user spoke to with text. Say Hi on guild chat, you are linked to guild VC, etc.

Groups just aint enough!

Forget guild VC, way too many bugs with guild n stuff that need fixing first, but maybe the ch 11 shit.

Make voice chat available on any active channel. Everyone should have the privilege of hearing Yoda sing.

The fact that it took almost 20 hours before someone bothered to respond to this announcement suggests to me that Yoda is on target.

Adding guild and perhaps sector voice chat would be neat, IMO.
As long as you could toggle them off individually.

guild chat is definitely on my todo.

I definitely like the sector idea. That would be the channel I'd be on all the time.

when in space, add static background to it, so it feels more like BS:Galactica ...and it would be more rea...eeerh fun. ;)
