Geminis are common. Gravitons also. Rethink all those above loadouts.
/me slaps Daon and Renegade with a large trout
Oh... and my vote? Hornet: quad-bus guns!!!

Create the best loadout useing only the non common componets (no flares, gauss, tachs, adv gats, et cetera)
Example Valk:
1 charged cannon
2 gemini missiles
Before you say "thats crap" actualy try it, it's not half bad.
Now its your turn.

tri gemini, 1 screamer, 1 lmines rag >:)
Hmmm it seems that without flares ppl fall back on gemminis.
Warthog
1 Phased Blaster ( am assuming tachy and grav are not allowed)
1 Jackhammer

Nice hog, though until the no lead indicator for phased blaster thing is fixed, its a bit hard to aim. Here are all my ideas
Valk/Maud
Charged Cannon
Rail Gun
1/2 or 2/1 your pick by preference
Wraith/Prom
2x Charged Cannon
1x Jackhammer
I like this one, If the cannons are charged you can launch the mighty double deus attack
Hog
Charged Cannon
Jackhammer
Not as awesome as the above, but still cool
Rag
1x Charged Cannon
2x Railgun
1x Jackhammer
1x Mine (your pick)

I think locust swarms are a pretty overused weapon as well. Generally, any heavy ship with more than one L slot packs one in addition to adv. gat. And sometimes people forego the adv. gat. in favor of the swarms.
My loadouts:
1.) Centurion: Charge cannon
2.) Centurion: RailGun
-Nice and simple. The Cent is one of the few ships maneuverable enough to aim these precision weapons well. The Valk works too, but after the next update the Cent will be much much more maneuverable.
3.)Hornet: 2x charge cannon. 2x Gemini.
4.) Warthog: Gemini, Jackhammer/Screamer.
5.) Vulture: Gemini, Railgun
6.) Vulture: 2x Railgun
7.) Vulture 2x Geminis
You're right, people do fall back on Geminis when the flares are gone. Wonder why that is.

You know, I've heard that they are overused and yet, like mines and nukes, I've never actualy seen them used. I had no idea what they did until I tryed them, but since you think so I have edited the above post.
Edit: geminis fall in the above catagory. When I said et cetera it was so I didn't have to list them all, we know gravs are common.
Note: charged cannons make a mean no-persition weapon if you rapidly tap the fire button. Kinda like a weaker yet more expensive tach

Trout? Why not salmon, or heiring?
well then, vulture dual rails >:)
death to you guys all muwahahah ;)

Simple: Stock bus. :P
The idea is to make an effective fighter at the same time, busses get wasted by any piolt of skill.
I have several more setups:
Ragnarok
3x Government Blaster
2x Large equivalent of guass cannon
(I actually got a kill with this one last week, using only the busguns)
Centurion
1x Rail Gun

Dual rail vults are good at taking out rammers if you keep your distance and they don't flee.
